Enterprise Aluminum Company, Massillon Ohio worked with Fraunfelter China Company (Zanesville Ohio) and made this beautiful drip coffee maker. Enterprise called it the "Scientific Method". Its in perfect condition, no owies, no stains. The "speckles" you see are under glaze part of the clay used. It makes 3 to 6 cups (18 to 36 ounces) by the markings (on the water holder) but you could easily do 8 cups (48 ounces) in this iconic beautifully made pot. You can use almost any grind and no filters. Boil the water somewhere (tea kettle most often) and pour it in the top. Wait for it to drip through and its done! They sized the holes to control the drip and since the water is at the best temperature for extraction all the coffee flavor is caught. This company made all sizes of these coffee makers but only a couple with Fraunfelter China. You will not be disappointed in this coffee and there is NO WASTE, NO PLASTIC, No fancy gizmos that go bad. I will send all cleaning and serving instructions. its packed really well so shipping could be pricier than normal. Read the pic on Fraunfelter, its interesting. My guess this pot was made in 1938 or 39 during Fraunfelters last years.

Is it safe?
It will be as safe or safer than the original manufacturer when it was made. Many times it is safer since I remove and replace asbestos wiring and unsafe cords. Note: There are some items I no longer refurbish because they cannot be made safe. I check every item for stray voltage and many times it is too high so that unit is scrapped.
What does Restored and Rebuilt Mean?
It means its been re-wired with modern high heat resistant wire, thermostats re-set, gunk, grease, stains have been removed. Restored to original factory specifications. Cords and wiring safe. All components checked for safety. Everything back to very good to mint condition nothing less.
