Completely restored. Dominion (Mansfield Ohio) made quite a few of these utilitarian and well made waffle irons in the 1930's. This one was made for "Wards". Very nice design with heat indicator, rectangular pattern waffles 4 1/2 by 4 1/2 inch waffles.. Irons are removed easily for cleaning. Fairly simple design but rugged. Model 1207A. Perfect size for toaster waffles. Walnut wood handles but Bakelite feet. Unusual design feature. Nice new wiring and heavy duty heaters. It will last a lifetime. Minor chrome pitting on the base. Has a small well around the plates for overflow batter. New 6 foot cord set. Rewired, cleaned and ready to make waffles! 600 watts, 120 VAC. It will keep the heat just right for cooking after it warms up and you can control the temperature ("light to dark") with an adjustable control. Dominion Electrical Manufacturing Company was first started in Minneapolis in 1920's. It moved to Mansfield Ohio in 1935 then built a large facility in 1953 around the time Westinghouse also built a new plant in Mansfield, Ohio. There were and are some very good metal workers and electricians in Mansfield. (Its not only a prison town used in "Shawshank Redemption".)

Is it safe?
It will be as safe or safer than the original manufacturer when it was made. Many times it is safer since I remove and replace asbestos wiring and unsafe cords. Note: There are some items I no longer refurbish because they cannot be made safe. I check every item for stray voltage and many times it is too high so that unit is scrapped.
What does Restored and Rebuilt Mean?
It means its been re-wired with modern high heat resistant wire, thermostats re-set, gunk, grease, stains have been removed. Restored to original factory specifications. Cords and wiring safe. All components checked for safety. Everything back to very good to mint condition nothing less.
