Right out of the 1980's a JC Penny (Made by McGraw Electric-Toastmaster) extremely well made waffle iron. Thermostat adjuster. Heavy duty chrome plating over copper/brass. Black Bakelite handles, feet and dial for the temperature control. Cast aluminum plates with heavy non-stick coating it makes two waffles 4 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches or flip them over for the griddle and make four 4 1/2" pancakes! Temperature adjusts from light to dark and is infinite dial control 350 degrees F light to 500 plus degrees on dark. Prism viewer on top tells you when it is "on". The thermostat is on the bottom, so it adjusts heat slowly but holds heat very well. Very nice iron in almost new condition after I cleaned it and tested it.

Is it safe?
It will be as safe or safer than the original manufacturer when it was made. Many times it is safer since I remove and replace asbestos wiring and unsafe cords. Note: There are some items I no longer refurbish because they cannot be made safe. I check every item for stray voltage and many times it is too high so that unit is scrapped.
What does Restored and Rebuilt Mean?
It means its been re-wired with modern high heat resistant wire, thermostats re-set, gunk, grease, stains have been removed. Restored to original factory specifications. Cords and wiring safe. All components checked for safety. Everything back to very good to mint condition nothing less.
