Refurbished Universal Copper 4-10 cup percolator 1950s Model 4461

Sorry, this item has sold.

This is the rare one and only all copper (no chrome plate) percolator Universal ever made. It was made by Landers, Frary and Clark in Connecticut. The design is super nice with the clear perk top molded with facets that reflect light. Its only 600 watts but the percolation system works really well and the thermostat (mild to strong) is super adjustable. Mild is 170 degrees F and Strong is 209 degrees F. That is a very large range. Medium is 186 and would probably get used the most. Most percolated coffee is best perked out at 190 to 195 degrees F.
A ready light illuminates when the perk is completed. All automatic, it shuts off then keeps the coffee at the perfect serving temperature as long as you want. Heavy duty copper. The inside is nickle plated. The pump, basket and diffuser are aluminum. PLEASE NOTE: The clear coat they put on the exterior copper is worn off a little here and there, hard to picture but if you look close you can pick it up.
The spout is positioned just right so you don't pour any grounds that escaped the basket (low, the grounds float). Water levels are built into the pour spout interior, 4 to 10 cups. Its been thoroughly cleaned, re-adjusted and internals replaced. A wonderful pot that will last a life time! A good strong steady percolation that does not burn the coffee.
120 VAC, 600 watts, 11 inches tall, 9 inches from spout to handle and 5 1/4 inches diameter. 28" new cord, cleaning brush and full instructions included. Model 4461. it will be sent in a Universal percolator box.

All items come with complete use and care instructions.
All items come with cords.
All cords are either new or old style that have been tested and refurbished.

What are materials

Waffle grids are cast aluminum.
Toasters are metal
Coffee pots vary and I always tell you the materials.

How will I keep it working and will it work?

Everything I sell is refurbished and in like new working order.
If something goes wrong, I will fix it so its like a lifetime (mine LOL) warranty.

Is it safe?

It will be as safe or safer than the original manufacturer when it was made. Many times it is safer since I remove and replace asbestos wiring and unsafe cords. Note: There are some items I no longer refurbish because they cannot be made safe. I check every item for stray voltage and many times it is too high so that unit is scrapped.

What does Restored and Rebuilt Mean?

It means its been re-wired with modern high heat resistant wire, thermostats re-set, gunk, grease, stains have been removed. Restored to original factory specifications. Cords and wiring safe. All components checked for safety. Everything back to very good to mint condition nothing less.

Average:

Frank was very easy to talk to, and very exacting with the directions on using this perk. This item was as good or better than he stated, and like he said, operates as new. His responses to questions were immediate and concise. I would not hesitate to purchase another item from him. I hope that he will offer something that I'm looking for in the future. Thank You, Frank, for helping me get the best cup of coffee I've had in literally years.
